Jodrell Bank
The Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics is the astronomical research centre of the University of Manchester.

Tatton Park
Tatton Park is one of the UK's most complete historic estates. It's home to a Tudor Old Hall, a stunning Neo-Classical Mansion, 50 acres of immaculately landscaped gardens, a working rare-breed farm and 1,000 acres of deer park. Speciality shops, restaurant, adventure playground, events and educational programs combine to make Tatton one of the most popular tourist sites in the North West.

Anson Engine Museum
Anson Engine Museum is recognized as one of the country's leading specialist museums. Situated in Higher Poynton, the museum is on the site of the old Anson Colliery. Engine enthusiasts from all over the world come to visit this fascinating museum. However, it is increasingly becoming a "must visit" attraction for non-enthusiasts too and won the "Visitors Choice" award (voted for by the public) when they were asked "where would you take a visitor to the Macclesfield area"?
Football
The north west is steeped in football history with probably more heritage than any other region in the world and with some of the biggest and most famous clubs only a few miles away a visit to their stadia is highly recommended.

Football will also be a major feature of the 2012 Olympic games where some of the games will be played at Old Trafford so you can be sure the games will offer all the drama that fans have come to expect from major international tournaments.
